Sweet Meringue July 2, 2008

Filed under: Fashion, Shopping — Ivy Schnepp @ 3:34 pm

Meringue Boutique is located on First Street in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The bright decor and branding captures the clothing lines and other items that can be found at this hot spot. In a relatively small space, one could spend quite a while discovering all of the chic pieces and other unique products. Meringue also has a great selection of stylish maternity wear and children’s clothing. Some of the pieces are so cute that you might find yourself in the maternity section without even realizing it. Check out their website for a full list of all of the lines they carry. Plus visit the store or the site this weekend and receive 20% off of selected merchandise. Meringue is the only store in Oregon that carries the insanely sweet Tarina Tarantino jewelry line. A NWPosh fave is her Carved Lucite Disc earrings that come in a wide variety of colors.

Model Monday via Wednesday - Arlenis Sosa July 1, 2008

Filed under: Fashion — Ivy Schnepp @ 9:40 pm

Arlenis Sosa is a 19 year old Dominican Republic native. She has incredible bone structure, luminescent skin and a smile that could launch a career, a thousand times over. She is clearly a stand out among a sea of pale, eastern bloc blonds. She is featured in the current edition of Vogue.

Vote for Pedro! June 20, 2008

Filed under: Fashion, Shopping — Ivy Schnepp @ 10:25 pm

Pedro Garcia is my newest obsession. His shoes are absolutely beautiful, exquisitely made and quite comfortable. Opening your first box of Pedro Garcia shoes will fill you with excitement and you will immediately notice the remarkable craftsmanship. And at that moment, you will know you now truly own an exquisite pair of shoes. It may seem like a lot poetry and puff about shoes (simply, the things you wear on your feet) but it was not until I owned a pair of these shoes that I understood how people can become obsessed with shoes.

I find myself searching for certain styles of Pedro Garcia shoes nearly every night and I can only hope with my diligence, my collection of two becomes much larger in the near future.

“It’s hard to believe…” April 20, 2008

Filed under: Fashion, Shopping — Ivy Schnepp @ 12:14 pm

“the parents were ugly.” That is the current ad line for the new style of Crocs. Touted as the most comfortable pair of three inch heels, the new styles combine the concept of simplicity and the basic materials of its forerunners with a more stylish design. The Cyprus comes in six different color combinations and it is priced at $49.99. My favorite colors are Scarlet and Bronze.

Model Monday - Margaryta Senchylo March 30, 2008

Filed under: Fashion — Ivy Schnepp @ 7:30 pm

Margaryta Senchylo is easy on the eyes but so hard on the mouth.  There is something vaguely reminiscent of Esther Canadas when gazing at this 17 year old Ukranian.  She is clearly an up and comer with a bright future on plenty of future catwalks.

Model Monday- Toni Garrn March 23, 2008

Filed under: Fashion — Ivy Schnepp @ 8:31 pm

Just two short years ago, Toni Garrn arrived on the modeling scene and in those two shorts years, this Hamburg native has managed to land in editorials for Elle, Italian Elle, Glamour, V and W. But, the most impressive feat for this relative newcomer is that she has been selected as the face of Calvin Klein Collection, replacing the beautiful and uber successful Natalia Vodianova. Talk about big shoes to fill! She walked exclusively for Calvin Klein this past Fashion Week (Fall 2008), meaning Mr. Klein must be making it worth her while to pass up, what one would imagine to be, a long list of designers offering her a spot on their catwalks. The new Calvin Klein print ads. featuring Toni, are superfluously graceful and they exude the clean lines and simplicity that has made the designer world renowned.

Friday Model Monday - Biana Balti February 28, 2008

Filed under: Fashion — Ivy Schnepp @ 6:36 pm

Oh, my…Miss Biana, you are a Beauty! Balti was born in Italy in 1984. Shockingly, she was rejected by Elite before making it with another agency. (Yet another Stunner that goes to show you, you can’t go by what by one person or one group of people think of you. So take note, all you aspiring models, keep your head up!!) Balti’s stunning blue eyes are made even more striking by her contrasting dark features. She has the look of an exotic model but she is still incredibly versatile. She seems to have hit her peak around 2005 with Dolce & Gabbana and Missoni print ads, although she made several appearances on the runway during fashion week for Diesel and Miss Sixty.

Fendi Artist Baguette February 26, 2008

Filed under: Fashion, Shopping — Ivy Schnepp @ 7:01 pm

Commerce has evolved to the point where consumers are constantly bombarded by options. The next logical progression is customization or personalization. We might not want to manufacturer the actual item but we do want to color it, paint it, de-constructed it, construct it…You get the idea, the options are limitless. This new dimension of the marketplace has affected companies ranging from Fendi to Starbucks. The most stylish of the customization trend is the Fendi Artist Baguette. This chic canvas comes with Pantone Markers so you can create your own version of what the Fendi bag should look like.
